People First of Norfolk is run by people
with learning difficulties.
There is a Board of Trustees who are responsible
for running the organisation. All the Trustees are people with learning
difficulties who are supported as required.
Great Yarmouth and Norwich
each have branch committees which run their local People First
area.
We make all the decisions, but we do have support and advice
when we need it.
We employ staff
We employ paid staff to
help us run the organisation.
They work in our Norwich and Great Yarmouth offices.
We also want to employ people with learning difficulties.
We need to get more funding to do this to make sure they
get the right level of support.
Volunteers support us
Volunteers support an individual
or a group, if needed, to do things.
They may help with writing letters, or contacting people;
support us with meetings or when we go to conferences.
They help us to do things, not do things for us.
If you would like more information on volunteering
within People First of Norfolk please see our Volunteers
Page.
